The sculpture and performance "Futures" was made as part
of the exhibition "Computer Class" at the CCI Fabrika, which was organized by artists from the New Evil art association which includes Alina Yunusova.
The economy is the weather: everyone understands how it works, but no one can accurately predict its behavior. In her work, the artist creates an alternative world, a reality where the last hope
of a decaying economy rests on the spirits of ancient animals,
the only ones who can predict when the "money rain" will fall.
In a performative workshop, which is part of the sculpture "Futures", the artist invited the audience to play on the stock exchange, predicting its behavior by appealing to the spirits of ancient animals. In her performance, Alina combined bodily practices with popular courses on earning money in cryptocurrency.
Materials: construction fittings, minerals, mosquito tape, gold glitter, coal.
